Start with your last real experience
Explain when and where you last rode and what you could do consistently. Separate your best session from your usual ability. After a break, this information supports a more useful review than simply saying you once completed a course.
Equipment may have changed
An unfamiliar bar, board or safety system requires familiarisation. Bring details of your previous setup and ask what you will receive. Confidence with an older model does not mean you should automatically recognise the controls on another one.
Book a review with a purpose
Suggest checking the foundations before returning to your preferred skill. A refresher can focus on a gap identified at the start. Avoid paying for independent practice before knowing what you need to recover.
Update your record
At the end, note retained skills, areas needing practice and the recommendation for your next session. Use that summary when enquiring about rental. Returning is about rebuilding consistent decisions and control, not proving the time away never happened.
