Climate is not a session forecast
Long-term climate patterns help select travel dates. They cannot tell you whether your booked afternoon will suit your level or equipment. Use CIOH-DIMAR climatology for the seasonal picture, then recent forecasts and a local assessment for the actual session.
December through March
December is commonly treated as the beginning of the dry-season window; allow for transition and book holiday logistics early. January, February and March fall within the traditionally drier period. This is useful context for a kite-focused trip, but stronger wind is not automatically better for a beginner.
April and May to November
Watch the seasonal transition in April. During the wetter part of the year, give more weight to current weather windows and warnings. A rainy season does not mean permanently windless conditions, and a gust associated with a cloud is not a reason to launch. Include other activities in your itinerary.
Compare dates realistically
Count full available days and consider booking flexibility before comparing popular months. Ask how unused lesson hours are handled if your departure prevents rescheduling. We do not assign invented monthly wind speeds or rideable-day percentages: those figures would require a defined station, dataset, period and method.
