Short answer
Weight affects kite, board, harness and flotation selection, but it is not a standalone admission number. Share approximate weight, size, experience, mobility and relevant limitations before booking so the school can confirm equipment and lesson format.
Why equipment availability matters
The same kite does not respond equally for riders of different weights, and harness or flotation fit must be checked. Ask which sizes are available and do not treat a photograph of equipment as confirmation that a suitable setup exists for you.
Physical demands of a lesson
Progression can include walking on sand, controlling the kite, moving through water, recovering position and repeating drills. You do not need to be an athlete, but you need to participate in those tasks and communicate fatigue or pain. An instructor can adjust rest and goals, not diagnose a medical condition.
When to ask for professional advice
If a medical condition, pregnancy, recent injury or mobility difficulty may affect participation, consult the relevant health professional and describe functional restrictions to the school. Request a specific answer about access, equipment and support before paying or travelling.
