One word can cover different services
Assistance may mean arrival guidance, occasional help or organised support. It does not establish who watches you throughout your ride. Ask for a description of included tasks rather than interpreting the word as comprehensive coverage.
Define presence and communication
Clarify where the responsible person will be, how to contact them and their service hours. Help at the start does not imply continuous monitoring. Also ask how support works when several users need attention at once.
What you must manage independently
If the service is for independent riders, assistance does not replace skills you have not mastered. Explain your limitations before booking. An assessment may recommend a refresher instead of a service intended for a different need.
Keep the scope in writing
Save the service, duration, equipment involved and agreed limits. Mention your own equipment in the first message if applicable. This makes comparisons meaningful and avoids arriving expecting a lesson when only occasional support was offered.
