Choose the format
Renting a board does not necessarily include instruction or an accompanied route. Explain that it is your first experience and ask what introduction and monitoring each option offers. Choose according to the support you need.
Equipment and preparation
Confirm what the operator supplies and what you must bring. Fitting and explaining equipment should happen before departure. Do not infer inclusions from a photograph showing accessories that may belong to another service.
Area and conditions
Ask where the activity takes place and how suitability is assessed. Water that looks calm from shore still requires evaluation of wind and route. Follow the plan explained by the person organising the outing.
What an hour means
Clarify when booked time starts and where the board is returned. Allow time for orientation, preparation and closing. Enquire separately about a route or photography rather than assuming they are part of a basic rental.
